Essentials of Next-Generation Sequencing Essentials for Pathology

OMPRN is partnering with the Canadian Bioinformatics Workshop (CBW) to host an introductory course, optimized for a pathology audience, on the basics of next-generation sequencing technologies and analysis. This two-day course interactive course is scheduled for October 21-22, 2024 and will be held in Toronto. Stay tuned to the OMPRN mailing list and the CBW website for further information.

Viewing Sarcoma With A Molecular Pathology Lens

The Ontario Association of Pathologists has invited OMPRN to host an interactive workshop on the molecular pathology of sarcoma at their 86th Annual Conference in Picton, ON. Dr. Bryan Lo, Dr. Aaron Pollet and Dr. Bibianna Purgina will lead the session scheduled for September 27, 2024. Pathology Education Research and Development Award competition

OMPRN will be launching an education grant opportunity this summer. The Pathology Education Research and Development Award (PERDA) aims to support the development of molecular pathology educational resources or original research into education practices related to molecular pathology. The anticipated launch date of this competition is summer, 2024.
