BioLab is hosting an educational seminar on BioSpa-8 and Cytation Workflow for Automated Live Cell Imaging Applications Tuesday, November 12, from 11:00 – 12:00 p.m., BR 6-11/12

In this free educational event experts from BioTek will introduce the BioSpaTM 8, an automated incubation system that integrates with Cytation imagers to quantify cell behavior in real-time while cells remain undisturbed inside the incubator.

The system runs wide range of cell-based applications, from proliferation, wound-healing, cytotoxicity, viability, apoptosis to cell-cell interactions, chemotaxis/migration, or drug screenings.

Additional info about the event and technology:

In recent years, impressive progress has been made towards our understanding of the biological mechanisms of immune-and cancer cell interactions. Development and proper use of specialized instrumentation for imaging and quantification of cell-based assays is critical for obtaining reproducible and meaningful data.

BioLab at OICR is organizing a free educational seminar on the BioSpaTM 8, an automated incubation system that integrates with Cytation imagers to quantify cell behavior in real-time while cells remain undisturbed inside the incubator.

The system can process up to eight microplates and allows walk-away automation and analysis of images, providing continuous monitoring of biological processes that are difficult to achieve with endpoint assays.

The full range of cell-based applications, from proliferation, wound-healing, cytotoxicity, viability, apoptosis to cell-cell interactions, chemotaxis/migration, or drug screenings, can be run on the BioSpaTM8 system.
