Deep understanding of the interaction of immune and tumor cells within the tumour microenvironment is key to developing immune-based cancer therapy strategies. However, a significant challenge to working with solid tumours is the need to dissociate the cells prior to their use in downstream applications such as flow cytometry and single-cell sequencing.
